Project Overview

Truist One View is Truist Financial’s flagship commercial treasury platform — a mobile and browser app giving corporate clients centralized, single sign-on access to a full suite of treasury services. I served as UI Designer, owning visual design, interaction design, and motion design for the mobile app.

The audience is demanding: treasury managers, finance officers, and company administrators who need real-time account visibility, payment initiation, and high-value approval capabilities on the go. This wasn’t a consumer banking app — every screen had to earn trust.

Truist One View is Truist Financial’s flagship commercial treasury platform — a mobile and browser app giving corporate clients centralized, single sign-on access to a full suite of treasury services. I served as UI Designer, owning visual design, interaction design, and motion design for the mobile app.

The audience is demanding: treasury managers, finance officers, and company administrators who need real-time account visibility, payment initiation, and high-value approval capabilities on the go. This wasn’t a consumer banking app — every screen had to earn trust.

The Challenge

AI-powered smart shopping carts can help reduce labor costs, increase store sales, provide a delightful customer experience, reduce checkout friction, help with out-of-stock insights, provide in-store customer flow data and create new revenue streams with incentives and loyalty integrations.

Truist One View emerged from the merger of SunTrust and BB&T, consolidating multiple legacy treasury platforms into a single unified experience. This context shaped the design challenge on multiple levels:

I built a complete suite of micro-interactions and transitions purposefully restrained for a commercial banking context — every animation had a functional reason to exist: Section transition animations to preserve spatial orientation during navigation. Skeleton screen animations to set expectations and reduce perceived load times and confirmation animations for payment submissions and approvals.

Dashboard — Real-time consolidated dashboard surfacing deposit, loan, and card balances alongside pending approvals requiring immediate attention.

Navigation Architecture — Single sign-on navigation connecting Digital Treasury, ACH, wire payments, Positive Pay, RDC, and information reporting from one entry point.

Payments Hub — Unified initiation flow for ACH, domestic wire, and RTP — mobile-optimized forms with contextual validation and clear confirmation states.

Approvals Workflow — Designed for speed — approvers can review, approve, or reject transactions in a few taps, with dual-control status, amount emphasis, and expandable detail views.

Positive Pay — Mobile-optimized exception review for check fraud mitigation, enabling pay/return decisions with full audit trail context.

Information Reporting — Filterable transaction lists, date-range selection, and statement downloads for DDA, loan, and card accounts.

Authentication & MFA — Collaborated on the multi-factor auth UX — soft token (Truist Authenticator) and hard token entry — secure but low-friction.

User Administration — Permissions management enabling primary admins to control access at the application, account, and service level.

Notifications — Push and in-app alert system for payment approvals and account activity, ensuring time-critical actions surface immediately.

Edge-Case States — Full coverage of loading, empty, error, and success states to keep the experience polished under any condition.
